PLAR services are available at Red River College, Keewatin and Assiniboine Community Colleges, College universitaire Saint Boniface, Brandon University and the University of Winnipeg. The University of Manitoba has a PLAR project currently underway in Continuing Education.

The use and application of PLAR at individual institutions varies as each develops activities and services which closely fit the needs of their student populations and programs.
