Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) is a process used to identify, document, assess and recognize skills and knowledge.
Learning takes place in many situations including:
- work
- hobbies
- family and life
- military
- volunteer activities
- travel
- independent study
- formal education
- workplace training
In PLAR, individuals prove learning in a variety of ways.
